Those drug tests that Florida passed recently where if one needs to get money from the state to live on they must also pass a drug test.
That should be done in all states. Also those drug tests should be repeated annually.

Not in so many words. Nobody would say such a thing in public.
However, they want to eliminate every government agency that regulates such things. As an example, Florida Governor Rick Scott has rescinded every environmental and concurrency rule ever passed by the State of Florida and disbanded the agency that enforced what few rules remained. Were it not for Federal regulations Florida power plants could burn high sulfur coal. Such coal is the source of acid rain. When energy advocates tell you that we have abundant coal resources to last for at least two centuries, what they do not tell you is that the coal is so full of contaminants like mercury that it will kill every living thing within a few miles of the power plant.
Within a few months of taking office, Governor Rick Scott fired two thirds of Florida's water managers. Three weeks later unseasonably heavy rains flooded many expensive homes of wealthy Tea Party supporters, Many of these homes were built on lots where special permits had to be obtained over the objections of the water managers who Rick Scott fired because the locations were prone to flooding. Had the water managers been on the job, they would have diverted the water through the locks and canals and kept the homes that they opposed building from being damaged. But they weren't there because they had been fired. The expensive homes were damaged, roads flooded and the legislature had to pass an emergency requisition to hire them back.
Barbara, if you were really interested in fiscal responsibility you would advocate mothballing all of the Navy's super carriers and slashing our involvement in overseas wars which we can never win. But you won't because the Tea Party is funded by people who profit from the military and from eliminating environmental regulations
Don't buy the smokescreen. Welfare, which is the Tea Party's favorite target, is a tenth of the military's budget. Cut the military first, then cut the rest to balance the budget.
FWIW... I completely agree with balancing the budget and cutting taxes. I also think Rand Paul is right that we never should have gone into either Afghanistan or Iraq without making sure we could pay for those invasions in current cash flow instead of selling our souls to China.
